Policies and Procedures For Children/Youth Ministry

Below you will find basic policies and procedures that have been adopted by Loma Vista Community Church for the protection of our children and all those who work with them.

All workers must be completely screened before serving in Children or Youth Ministries. *

This includes: completing application forms, background check, and complete a preliminary interview.

Children/Youth must be supervised at all times. *

All workers are responsible for the safety of children while transporting them in vehicles. *

The number of seat belts available will determine the number of people in a vehicle. It is the responsibility of the worker to make sure ALL occupants are wearing their seat belts. (Remember, that’s the law!)

When taking children to the restroom, children/youth workers are to not be alone with children in the bathroom. *

If a preschool child needs to use the bathroom and needs assistance, please let Sunnie or Alicia know so they can assist.

Loma Vista Community Church Covenant of Beliefs *

1. We believe in one God who manifests Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is our ultimate authority concerning faith, Christian living, and church life.

5. We believe the foremost purposes of each individual is to love God through: fellowship, discipleship, service, evangelism, and worship.

6. We believe that all Christians have been baptized, empowered and gifted to serve others faithfully, by the Holy Spirit.

7. We believe that all Christians are a part of the Church universal, under the headship of Jesus Christ, and are to live in fellowship, support, and cooperation with one another.

8. We believe that human sexuality is designed for physical expression only in the bonds of marriage between a man and a woman.
